I just wrote about last week and how I got a chance to sit and talk with Nicole about life, ministry, and non-sense stuff. One of the questions I asked her at one point was “how do you find the motivation and freedom to dream?” She responded that JESUS is our KEY to making our sucky world better so that should motivate us.
I just read a three-part devotional in THE WORD FOR YOU TODAY about Sharing Your Dream. It says there are four main points to sharing your dream to accomplish it successfully especially if need others to help get you there.
1. You must connect with them logically.
2. You must provide a sound strategy they can believe in
3. You must share your dream emotionally.
4. You must share your dream visually.
“When big dreams are broken down into smaller pieces and different pieces are given to talented individuals, the task seems more attainable and each person involved has an increased sense of personal ownership and involvement.” (THE WORD FOR YOU TODAY, February 14)
Why all of this talk about dreaming, being a dreamer, sharing the dream? Well, I have been wanting to expand my opportunities to minister through graphics, video, photographs, and creativity. I’ve got a friend who want to use me to design and assist with some future projects that she is doing.
How do you find freedom in dreaming and coming up with ides? What techniques do you follow as you dream?
