On Tuesday… It was Nettie’s birthday! We headed up to Wasabi’s Japanese Steakhouse in Summerville for a Birthday Lunch. I don’t eat Sushi which was why she choose Wasabi’s, but I did indulge in the Hibachi Chicken and Fried Rice. Lunch is not quite the same experience as dinner with them cooking in front of you, but the food taste the same! The special taste is the bacon they put in their fried rice! The lunch prices were not bad for the quantity of food. Try it out some time…

Birthday Celebrations [are the best]

What a weekend of great times, food and cake! :) Thanks to my mom and second mom, Glo for coming down to visit me. Thanks to my adopted family for celebrating with me after church on Sunday. Thanks to my church friends for the surprise birthday party/bachelorette finale party! Man what a good time! :)

Taste Buds Tuesday

Over the weekend my mom and her best friend came in to town to visit me for my birthday. I have been wanting to go on the Dinner Cruise that leaves out of Patriot’s Point  so we went out on the Harbor for the evening. I purchased tickets online for Friday night and off we went.

We were seated at a 4 person table by ourselves. If you have fewer people you could potentially be sat with other people on the cruise. Or you could pay an upgrade charge to have a table for two. I would recommend if you’re just going with a date that you pay the extra fee for the privacy, the view AND it includes your dessert. :)

The Food was exceptional. They start you off with She Crab soup, Salad and then you have a choice between several entrees. Throughout the cruise and the courses of the meal you’re able to roam about the boat and view the sights along the harbor (i.e. the bridge, the battery, Fort Sumter).

The evening was a blast!

I would recommend it for any special occasion!

Wish List Wednesday

One of the things on my wish list is to take a day just for myself. I think I would like to lay on the beach all day, get all cleaned up (nails, toenails, hair, etc) and  go out to dinner at a nice restaurant. I wouldn’t mind going downtown to walk around through the shops. I would even love it if I got to sleep in to start the day off. :) I look forward to next Friday when this wish becomes reality!

Too soon?

Today was PT’s birthday so I cooked her (as requested) a homemade pumpkin pie. I’m not a huge fan of pumpkin, but it was pretty darn good if I must say so myself. ;-)

Following the dinner party we decided we needed something to do. A couple of ideas were tossed around and we finally came up with decorating our Christmas tree. For some this is a completely foreign and unlawful act, but if you could have only heard the Christmas Spirit!!!
